Sweet Tea Shakespeare regularly tours productions of our Lit series to regional breweries, wineries, distilleries, and other venues.
Lit is our irreverent celebration of Shakespeare — over drinks. Our Lit series includes celebratory and raucous celebrations of plays like Hamlet to wondrously strange forays into all of Shakespeare’s death scenes. Audiences are insanely responsive to our Lit productions.
Lit can set up in your venue in just a couple of hours and we work with you closely to market and ticket the event.
Currently in the Lit catalog: HamLIT, our smash hit production that retells the story of Hamlet; and Romeo & JuliLIT, the classic tale of star crossed lovers with a LIT twist. More titles coming Spring 2016.
By request, we can produce a showing of one of our mainstage productions at your venue. This most often requires a limited residency of a couple days and a guaranteed performance contract.
Workshops, Showcases, Lectures, and other events

A: Prices vary based on the event and commitment. Typically, you have the option of a flat rate where you keep ticket sales or where you receive a percentage of total sales with a guaranteed minimum.
Q: What is required to book STS?
A: A non-refundable deposit and an open date on the calendar.
Q: What about insurance, marketing, liability, alcohol permits, etc.?
A: We have a standard agreement for most venues that we’ll discuss with you when you’re ready to make a booking, but the short answer is that the venue assumes responsibility for all event-related liability, insurance, and proper securing of any necessary permits.
Q: What do you need in order to present your production?
A: We are low fuss. We generally require only access to power and water, and open space meeting certain minimum dimensions, seating, and ample time to set up, rehearse, and load out our production elements.
